2006 - 75 cl

AOC Côtes de Bergerac

South West France

The vines are aged for an average of 28 years, with a density of around 5,000 stems per hectare. We practice short pruning with two rods. Vinification : This wine, in which Merlot is the dominant variety, is trained using the double guyot method, and also contains Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The grapes are harvested when mature, with the fermentations performed under controlled temperature. The cabernets are aged in barrels, while the merlot is aged in a vat.Tasting : Intense red colour. The nose opens with aromas of red fruit (cherry). The attack is direct, fruity and intense with a nice acidity. A round, fruity finish. An easy-drinking wine.

CHATEAU HAUT BERNASSE

24240 Monbazillac - South West France

Located on the high point of the Monbazillac slopes, in the heart of the appellation, Château Haut Bernasse benefits from exceptional sun exposure. Its 14 hectares of vines are worked using traditional methods and yields are low in the interests of quality. The 11 hectares of white varieties are: Sauternais and the “white triad”: Semillon, Muscadelle and Sauvignon. The red varieties, over 3 hectares, are made up of one half Merlot and the other half Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
