Domaine Beauvence, a natural balance between vine, olive tree, and silence

In Beaumont-de-Pertuis, around thirty kilometers from Aix-en-Provence, Domaine Beauvence stretches across 30 hectares of preserved land, far from any disturbance. Here, the eye wanders between vineyards, olive groves, and Provençal hills, in a rare, almost meditative calm.

At the heart of the estate stands a holm oak over 400 years old. Majestic and immobile, it is far more than a tree: it has become the symbol of Beauvence, a witness to long time, deep roots, and the richness of the soil.

An altitude terroir shaped by the sun

The estate benefits from more than 300 days of sunshine per year. The 10 hectares of vineyards and 1,400 olive trees are planted at an altitude of 400 meters, an ideal setting that creates a natural contrast between daytime warmth and cool nights.

The gently sloping clay-limestone soils provide natural drainage and excellent mineral concentration. This terroir is no accident: since Antiquity, Romans, Phocaeans, and Greeks cultivated vines and olive trees here. Beauvence continues this legacy without freezing it in time.

Organic viticulture rooted in living soils

At Domaine Beauvence, nature is not corrected, it is accompanied. No chemical fertilizers, no pesticides: these practices were excluded from the very beginning.

The soil lives through its microfauna, especially earthworms, essential natural allies that aerate and enrich it. The parcels are grass-covered, encouraging soil regeneration and biological balance.

The forests of holm oaks and pines surrounding the vineyard are not decorative. They play a key role in biodiversity, thermal regulation, and the natural protection of the vines and olive trees.

A bioclimatic winery where ecology becomes concrete

Domaine Beauvence made a bold choice by building the first energy-positive bioclimatic winery in the Luberon. Here, innovation is not a marketing claim, but a practical tool serving the wine.

  • Semi-underground winery for natural thermal regulation
  • Gravity-fed vinification to preserve grape integrity
  • High-performance thermal insulation for ideal stability
  • Vegetated walls integrated into the landscape
  • Provençal well system for natural cooling
  • Solar roof making the building energy self-sufficient

Every detail serves a single goal: allowing the wine to evolve without artificial constraints.

Sincere, precise, and limited organic cuvées

Production is deliberately limited. Each cuvée is numbered, sourced from parcel-by-parcel vinification, and conceived as a faithful expression of the place.

The grape varieties are based on six Provençal classics: Rolle, Grenache Noir, Cinsault, Ugni Blanc, Clairette, and Syrah. Some vines come from massal selections, ensuring genetic diversity and strong identity.

Harvesting is done by hand, with aging in barrels and amphorae to preserve fruit purity and the signature of the terroir.

Production breakdown

  • 35% rosé wines: fresh, elegant, sunlit
  • 40% red wines: structured, balanced, gastronomic
  • 25% white wines: refined, precise, luminous

The soul of Beauvence in every bottle

Choosing a wine or olive oil from Domaine Beauvence means tasting an authentic Provence, far from clichés. Garrigue herbs, thyme, rosemary, restrained warmth, and the freshness of altitude all come together.

These are products born from long time, deep respect for living systems, and an uncompromising pursuit of quality.

How do the altitude terroir and organic viticulture at Domaine Beauvence influence the style and freshness of its Luberon cuvées ?
