Domaine Marie de Louvoy: Organic Crémant de Bourgogne - Molesme, Châtillonnais
On the border between Burgundy and Champagne, in Molesme (21330, Côte-d'Or), Domaine Marie de Louvoy represents a new generation of committed winemakers, passionate about their terroir and uncompromising in their pursuit of excellence. On the limestone soils of the Châtillonnais, the vines give birth to Crémants de Bourgogne of remarkable precision: fine, taut and deeply mineral.
A confidential terroir at the gates of Champagne
The Châtillonnais is a terroir still little-known, yet exceptional. Located in the Côte-d'Or, just a few kilometres from the Côte des Bar, it shares with Champagne a unique geology: shallow limestone soils, rich in minerals, that give the wines a rare tension and purity. It is on these lands that the traditional method, second fermentation in bottle (prise de mousse), followed by precise disgorgement, reveals its full nobility.
Across the individual plots of Cotron, Grande Côte, Lavots and Val Bouclé, each parcel expresses a different nuance: freshness, depth, fruit or complexity. This diversity allows Domaine Marie de Louvoy to craft Crémants de Bourgogne with a precise, distinctive identity.

A committed winemaker and a modern vision of wine
Behind the estate is Alix Dangin, a passionate career change. Coming from the world of law, she chose to return to something essential by dedicating herself to the vine, drawing on a family culture rooted in Champagne. Together with Matthieu Dangin, an experienced oenologist and winemaker, she developed an ambitious project: to reveal the unique potential of the Molesme terroir.
Demanding viticulture & sincere terroir expression
Their approach is built on exacting viticulture, a technical precision inherited from Champagne, and a constant drive to produce honest wines that are true to their origin.
Organic Crémants de Bourgogne of great precision
Certified organic since 2014, Domaine Marie de Louvoy cultivates its vines with deep respect for living soils. No synthetic herbicides or pesticides are used, allowing the soils to retain their full richness and natural expression.
The wines reveal a remarkable purity: fine, persistent bubbles, mineral tension, a perfect balance between freshness and structure. Some cuvées, such as the Val Bouclé Brut Nature, go even further, a wine with no added sulphites and zero dosage, for a completely authentic expression of the terroir.

FAQ: Domaine Marie de Louvoy and Crémant de Bourgogne
What is the difference between a Crémant de Bourgogne and Champagne ?
Crémant de Bourgogne is made using the traditional method, identical to that of Champagne, but in a different appellation. The Molesme terroir offers a minerality close to that of the great champagnes, with the same precision of bubble and the same depth of expression.
Why order Domaine Marie de Louvoy Crémants directly, with no middleman ?
Because every bottle leaves directly from the estate in Molesme, Côte-d'Or, bypassing any intermediate warehouse. You receive the Crémant in the exact storage conditions maintained by Alix Dangin, at its best, at a fair price, from an organically certified estate since 2014.
Are the estate's wines organic ?
Yes. Domaine Marie de Louvoy has held Organic Agriculture certification since 2014 and offers cuvées with no added sulphites.
Which Crémant should I choose for an aperitif ?
The Les Terroirs and Rosé cuvées are perfect for an elegant and convivial aperitif.
What is the traditional method used for Crémant de Bourgogne?
The traditional method, identical to that used in Champagne, involves provoking a second fermentation directly in the bottle (prise de mousse), followed by disgorgement to remove the lees. It is this exacting technique that produces the fine, persistent bubbles and gives Crémant de Bourgogne its characteristic tension and mineral depth.
Where to buy an organic Crémant de Bourgogne direct from the producer ?
Domaine Marie de Louvoy offers its organic Crémants de Bourgogne for direct purchase from Molesme, in the Côte-d'Or.
