The Domaine du Causse Noir is a family adventure, a shared and passionate quest for excellence. AOC Faugères in Languedoc makes up the first foothills of the Cévennes. The stored heat from the day is given out at night, thanks to the schists. This encourages a more regular ripening of the grapes. This also gives very gentle tannins and an interesting freshness. The estate's vines, located at between 220 and 380m altitude, are made up of traditional Languedoc varieties, grown in the traditional method and exposed to both very cold, ferocious Tramontane winds and more gentle sea breezes. Our wines have a strong identity, thanks to our work on the soil, our respect for the terroir and the passion that drives us. We converted to organic production in 2013. This gives our wines an aromatic freshness and much emotion and poetry, which we want to share with you.
