Champagne Régis Poissinet: Organic & Biodynamic Champagne from the Vallée de la Marne

In the heart of the Vallée de la Marne, Champagne Régis Poissinet embodies a rare vision of Champagne: a living wine, deeply rooted, guided more by nature than by technique.

A 7-hectare family estate dating back to the 17th century, it is now led by Régis Poissinet and his son Maxime, sixth-generation independent winegrowers. Their philosophy is simple, demanding and uncompromising: observe, respect, accompany.

Here, nature conducts the orchestra.

An Organic Champagne Estate in the Vallée de la Marne

Since 2008, the estate has undergone a profound transition toward organic farming and biodynamics.

No herbicides
Mechanical soil work
Estate-made organic compost
Respect for natural biodiversity

The 35 parcels are located in Cuchery, Baslieux, Leuvrigny, Troissy and Mareuil-le-Port. Clay-limestone and silty-limestone soils bring tension, structure and minerality.

The vines, averaging 35 to 40 years old, send their roots deep into soils that are once again alive.

The result?
Concentrated, balanced and vibrant grapes.

Pinot Meunier: The Signature of the Estate

In the Vallée de la Marne, Pinot Meunier is king. At Régis Poissinet, it is the soul of the estate.

Dominant in most blends, it delivers:

energetic fruit character
silky texture
precise salinity
remarkable depth

Chardonnay brings balance and finesse, while Pinot Noir is used with precision and restraint.

No forcing nature. No cosmetic adjustments. No standardization.

Natural and Low-Intervention Winemaking

Fermentations occur naturally.
Dosage is minimal.
Wines are often unfiltered.

Aging alternates between barrels and tanks depending on the energy of the vintage. Oak is never used to dominate, only to support.

This is about:

Biodynamic Champagne
Natural Champagne
Terroir-driven Champagne
Low-dosage Champagne
Living Champagne

Each bottle is a snapshot of a vintage and a soil.

The Cuvées of Champagne Régis Poissinet

Terre d’Irizée: Multi-vintage blend (87% Meunier, 13% Chardonnay). Fresh, saline and vibrant. Citrus, white fruit and chalky tension. The ideal introduction to the Poissinet style.

Terre de Rosé: Maceration rosé (70% Meunier, 30% Chardonnay). 100% barrel-aged. Wild red berries, kirsch and spice. Ample and structured.

Irizée Meunier: 100% Pinot Meunier. Vertical, precise, with remarkable saline energy. A pure reading of the Vallée de la Marne’s emblematic grape.

Les Clos Paillot: Single-parcel 100% Meunier. Raw expression of soil. Impressive depth and length.

Irizée Chardonnay: 100% Chardonnay, fully barrel-aged. Tense minerality, citrus and delicate spice. Crystalline elegance.

Coteaux Champenois: Still wines (Pinot Noir Blanc, Chardonnay Blanc, Meunier Rosé). A pure interpretation of terroir before secondary fermentation.

Why Are These Champagnes Sought After by Connoisseurs?

Because they are not made to please everyone.

They are crafted for those seeking:

authentic organic Champagne
independent grower Champagne
living terroir-driven wines
precise, low-dosage cuvées
genuine emotion in the glass

These wines are not standardized. They evolve. They breathe. They tell a story.

You do not simply drink a Champagne.
You taste a soil, a climate, a year.

A Human and Radical Vision of Champagne

Régis and Maxime Poissinet are not chasing spectacle. They pursue precision.

Patience. Humility. Accuracy.
Time is an ally, never an enemy.

These are Champagnes for the table, for gastronomy, for reflection. Wines designed to pair with noble ingredients, meaningful moments and curious minds.

Why are Régis Poissinet’s organic and biodynamic Champagnes considered among the most vibrant in the Vallée de la Marne?

Because they respect the natural balance of the terroir, limit technical intervention, prioritize Pinot Meunier in its purest expression and allow time to shape their identity—offering authentic, vibrant Champagnes deeply rooted in their soil.
