Champagne Paul-Antoine Chrétien: a grower Champagne from Rouvres-les-Vignes, in the heart of the Côte des Bar

In the south of Champagne, in the preserved village of Rouvres-les-Vignes, Champagne Paul-Antoine Chrétien follows an artisanal grower tradition shaped by time, the land and human craftsmanship. Here, every parcel matters, every gesture has meaning, and every bottle tells an authentic story.

Located in the Côte des Bar, a Champagne region in its own right, the estate deliberately stands apart from industrial standards. Hillsides, limestone soils and climate combine to produce precise, sincere and characterful wines. This discreet yet confident identity is what the winemaker seeks to express in each Champagne.

An artisanal approach, from vine to bubble

The Champagnes are crafted largely by Paul-Antoine Chrétien himself. Vineyard work is carried out with constant attention to natural soil balance, vine health and grape quality.

Harvesting is carried out exclusively by hand, in line with Champagne appellation requirements. This demanding choice preserves grape integrity and the finesse of the musts. Winemaking takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, combining Champagne tradition with technical precision to respect fruit expression and natural freshness.

From vineyard to labelling, every step is carefully mastered. Nothing is left to chance, while maintaining a truly human scale.

Our commitments: sustainable and responsible viticulture

The estate follows the principles of Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne (VDC) and High Environmental Value (HVE), part of a collective commitment developed in Champagne for more than twenty years.

These commitments are rooted in a simple conviction: great wines cannot be produced without respect for the living world.

In practical terms, this means:

  • strict control of inputs to protect both human health and the environment,
  • constant attention to soils, terroir and biodiversity,
  • sustainable preservation of vineyard landscapes, a living regional heritage,
  • responsible management of water and waste,
  • a gradual reduction of the carbon footprint linked to winegrowing activities.

This approach goes far beyond a simple certification. It guides daily decisions in both vineyard and cellar, with coherence, progress and transmission at its core.

A Champagne faithful to its terroir and its winemaker

The estate’s cuvées fully reflect the personality of Rouvres-les-Vignes and the Côte des Bar. Pinot Noir brings structure and depth, Chardonnay finesse and freshness, while Pinot Meunier adds roundness and generosity.

These are balanced, characterful Champagnes, designed to accompany moments of sharing, from aperitif to gastronomic pairings. More than a wine, each bottle is the expression of personal commitment and a deep attachment to this Champagne land.
