How did the couple become winemakers?

Myriam recounts. The duo officially became vintners in 2007 when they acquired a property in the Gigondas appellation.

What makes the terroir distinctive?

Located on the road of the Florets district, from which it takes its name, Domaine des Florets spans 8 hectares of vines and is uniquely situated at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail mountain range.

Our vines are planted at 500 meters altitude, on a clay-limestone soil. Our location in the mountains allows us to benefit from a terroir different from other Gigondas appellations,

Myriam and Jérôme explain. This unique terroir imparts fresh and mineral wines with lower alcohol content.

Most Gigondas wines have an alcohol content ranging from 15 to 16 degrees, whereas our wines never exceed 14 degrees. This highlights their freshness and contributes to their distinctiveness,

Who supports the wines and how are they recognised?

Recommended multiple times by prestigious wine guides (Hachette des Vins, Bettane et Desseauve), Jérôme and Myriam's wines have received numerous awards, including a silver medal from the Elle à Table 2016 wine competition. The wines benefit from the expertise of Philippe Cambie, the renowned oenologist who was named the best oenologist in the world by Robert Parker’s guide. This "label" likely has a significant impact, especially at wine fairs, which Jérôme and Myriam, keen to introduce their cuvées to the public and professionals, particularly enjoy.
