Dating from the 19th century, historically, Château du Pavillon is the first vineyard owned by the Ponty family, iconic of the Canon Fronsac vines and of our family. As the first wine that we produced, it perfectly represents our style. : An elegant, rich and complex wine, with always subtle woody notes, plenty of fruit and freshness - a perfect balance. It also represents our roots, the place where generations of our family grew up, are married and acquired their expertise. It is our heart, in a bottle.Tasting notes : Presents a deep colour with purplish hues. Rich and very complex, this wine features a very slightly woody nose, and aromas of red fruit (strawberry and cherry) during the first four years. Upon ageing, gentle scents of spice, blackcurrant and quality leather, combined with a long, silky finish, like velvet. A perfect structure, with fine and silky tannins.
