The Ponty family settled here to cultivate, vinify, and share wines that celebrate the richness of the Bordeaux terroir.

Today, Hélène Ponty, the fifth generation, oversees this family estate. Returning in 2019 after an international career, she brings both fresh energy and deep respect for the traditions that built the estate’s reputation.

A Committed Conversion to Organic and Biodynamic Farming

Convinced that great wine begins with living soils, Hélène has begun converting the estate to organic and biodynamic viticulture. Every vineyard intervention is designed to preserve biodiversity and strengthen the vitality of the land.

In the cellar, the philosophy remains the same: minimal intervention, respect for the fruit, and pure expression of terroir. Ponty wines display a strong identity — sincere, balanced, and full of freshness and complexity. Oak aging is always subtle, enhancing the wine without overpowering it.

Hélène Ponty – Between Heritage and Modernity

For Hélène, taking over the family estate was both a homecoming and a life project. After studying law and business and gaining experience in the United States and China, she returned to Fronsac with a clear vision: a sustainable, harmonious, and inspiring vineyard.

She sees the estate as a living ecosystem, where every element — vines, fauna, flora, team, and visitors — plays a role. This sensitive and human-centered approach is reflected in her wines: sincere, balanced, and illuminated by the light of the terroir.
