Domaine Jaume: five generations of passion at the heart of Vinsobres

Domaine Jaume - Vinsobres Cru, a family estate of the Drôme Provençale, HVE and Vinea Natura

Domaine Jaume is a family estate of Vinsobres, five generations over more than 100 hectares, in reasoned viticulture (HVE and Vinea Natura).

For over a century, the Jaume family has farmed the vine in Vinsobres, the first Cru of the Côtes du Rhône in the Drôme Provençale. Five generations, more than 100 hectares on two high-altitude terroirs, reasoned viticulture for 25 years: deep, elegant wines, to discover direct on Avenue des Vins.

For more than a century, the Jaume family has farmed the vine with rigour and passion in the village of Vinsobres, the first Cru of the Côtes du Rhône in the Drôme Provençale. The story begins in 1905, when Henri Chauvet partnered with Baron Le Roy, pioneer of the appellations of controlled origin.

From generation to generation, the Jaumes built a solid estate, driven by a deep love of the terroir. Pierre Jaume gave the vineyard its momentum, then his son Claude raised it among the great names of the region in the 1960s. His sons, Pascal and Richard, continued the family adventure from the 1980s, celebrating the estate's 100 years in 2005.

Today, Anthony and Vincent, representatives of the fifth generation, carry on this historic know-how while integrating a modern, sustainable vision of viticulture.

An exceptional terroir: the strength of Vinsobres

Domaine Jaume spans more than 100 hectares, planted on two major terroirs of the Vinsobres Cru: Le Coteau and Les Collines.

Le Coteau. At 300 metres of altitude, clay-limestone soils dotted with stones and deep limestone strata: powerful, structured wines with fine length.

Les Collines. Between 350 and 470 metres, a rugged relief and soils of clay, silt and sand: finesse, freshness and aromatic elegance.

This dual geological profile allows the estate to express the full richness of the emblematic grapes of the Rhône Valley: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan for the reds, but also white Grenache, Marsanne, Roussanne, Clairette and Viognier for the whites.

A reasoned viticulture, respectful of nature

A pioneer in sustainable viticulture, Domaine Jaume has farmed its vines with a reasoned approach for more than 25 years. Under the Vinea Natura charter and holding the High Environmental Value (HVE) label, the estate implements biodiversity-friendly practices:

Natural grassing. To protect the soils and stimulate microbial life.

Organic mulching. To feed the vine and limit the use of fertilisers.

Pheromone dispersal. To protect the vines without insecticides.

Preservation of hedges. Hedges and woodlands, true refuges for local fauna.

This philosophy combines natural balance and excellence, guaranteeing grapes of exceptional purity and wines that sincerely express the terroir.

Between tradition and innovation: the Jaume signature

The Jaume family team combines ancestral know-how and modern technology to produce precise, harmonious cuvees. The harvest, largely done by hand, respects the optimal ripeness of the grapes. Vinifications are carried out plot by plot, to reveal the unique character of each soil.

The estate's red, white and rosé wines stand out for their balance between power and finesse, their aromas of ripe fruit and spices, and an elegant freshness typical of the Vinsobres climate.

Emblematic appellations and exceptional cuvees

Domaine Jaume produces a complete range from the finest terroirs of the Rhône Valley. Each wine is the fruit of meticulous work, from pruning to bottling, with a clear goal: to preserve the typicity of the terroir and magnify the emotion of the wine.
