Château de Peyrassol: "Just Like Wine, Art is a Story of Passion"

Sixty is the impressive number of artworks displayed around the cellars, the bastide, and in the vineyards of Château de la Commanderie de Peyrassol. Nestled in the heart of Provence, this vineyard covers a total area of 850 hectares with monumental sculptures scattered throughout the estate. During your visit, expect to encounter a sculpture by Jean Dubuffet, a bronze statue by Jean-Jacques Tosello set amidst the vines, or a massive wrought-iron gate by Wim Delvoye, topped by the famous character Mr. Clean.

Behind this vast open-air museum is Alban Cacaret, the current owner of the estate, for whom the analogy between wine and art is obvious: "For both, it’s a story of passion. It requires time, thought, and of course, creativity. It’s also about sharing: we make wine to enjoy with others, and we create art to show to others!"

Champagne Collet: Bubbles and Works of Art!

This time, head to Champagne in a completely different setting. Welcome to Aÿ, at Champagne Collet. This cooperative winery, which opened its Champagne Trades Museum last October, features a building entirely dedicated to art in the heart of the Champagne hills: the Cité Cogevi-Collet. On the ground floor, there is an exhibition hall. Upstairs, a luxurious "Roaring Twenties" ambiance awaits.

Imagine strolling (perhaps with a glass of champagne in hand!) through the designer champagne bottles, art pieces, and rooms that transport you back to the "cabaret" atmosphere of 1920s Paris.

For Bertrand Glory, Sales Director of Champagne Collet, it was unthinkable to build a champagne house without including an artistic dimension: "The link between creating champagne and the art of working with material is evident. The sizing, binding, lifting, training, bud removal, pressing, and blending create a masterpiece that ultimately becomes Champagne. An artwork is created in the same way: starting from raw material, the artist shapes their creation and brings out the emotion."
