A "château" for a mascot become cult

A place worthy of the character was needed. In 2005 Château Arrogant Frog was born, located near the village of Gaja-et-Villedieu, in the hinterland of the Limouxin. At an altitude between 150 and 200 metres and around a hundred kilometres from the Mediterranean, the vineyard benefits from a more temperate climate, marked by oceanic influences, ideal for preserving freshness, balance and aromatic expression.

A terroir suited to quality pleasure wines

The vineyard covers around twenty hectares, on clay-limestone soils mixed with gravels, schists and clays. These lands ensure regular feeding of the vine and homogeneous ripening of the grapes. The grape varieties grown (Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Mauzac and Syrah) are aged from 11 to 33 years. Controlled yields, around 45 hl/ha, and a planting density of 6,000 vines per hectare guarantee concentrated grapes, perfectly suited to the making of aromatic, balanced wines.

Cuvees for every moment

The Arrogant Frog range comes in single-varietal wines and blends, in AOP Limoux and IGP Pays d'Oc. Each wine follows the same guiding line: fruit, freshness, generosity and a simple, direct reading for the consumer. To discover direct from the estate.
