The Domaine Mas Conscience is located in the heart of the Terrasses du Larzac appellation, in the Languedoc region, between the villages of Montpeyroux and Saint-Jean-de-Fos.

Nestled in a landscape marked by garrigue and olive groves, the estate benefits from an exceptional terroir. The Terrasses du Larzac, known for their thermal variations, allow the vines to produce grapes of outstanding quality, resulting in fresh, balanced, and generous wines.

A strong connection with nature and history

Since its creation in 2003, Mas Conscience has maintained a strong connection with its environment. Acquired in 2020 by Roman Kocholl and Audrey Bonnet-Koenig, the estate continues its commitment to environmental respect. The legend of the Pont du Diable and the symbolism of the conscience jars, carried by monks, are the origins of the estate's name. This historical heritage perfectly aligns with the philosophy of the estate, where each cuvée tells a story related to conscience and terroir.

Respect for nature is a core value at Domaine Mas Conscience, where organic viticulture has been practiced for over 10 years. Certified organic since 2012, the estate strives to preserve the local ecosystem by adopting environmentally friendly farming methods. The vines are surrounded by rich biodiversity, including wildflowers, trees, and hedgerows, fostering a natural balance. This approach not only produces healthy grapes but also faithfully reflects the purity of the Terrasses du Larzac terroir in every wine.

The estate also aims to develop new practices to further minimize its environmental impact. The planting of drought-resistant and disease-resistant grape varieties, along with the development of wine tourism activities, are part of Mas Conscience's projects. Preserving biodiversity while innovating is at the heart of the vision led by the new owners, who seek to make Domaine Mas Conscience a reference in sustainable and high-quality viticulture.

Fruity and elegant wines

The wines of Domaine Mas Conscience are renowned for their freshness and finesse. Each cuvée is designed to express the richness of the unique soils of the Terrasses du Larzac. The red wines are characterized by aromas of red and black fruits, mingled with notes of spices, while the whites, such as the Tapade cuvée, stand out for their liveliness and aromatic complexity. Cuvées like L’Éveil, with its crushed dark fruits and hints of spice, perfectly illustrate the balance between elegance and character.

The estate's philosophy is based on producing fruity, accessible wines that remain elegant. The winemaking methods used at the estate respect the grapes as much as possible, minimizing interventions to let the terroir fully express itself. The names of the cuvées, such as L’In (L’Inconscience) or Cieux (ConscienCIEUX), reflect the estate's desire to play with the word "conscience," while offering authentic wines.
