The estate’s history continues an ancient heritage, that of a French family whose roots go back to the 12th century, but above all it reflects a contemporary desire to combine technical precision with respect for tradition. The family journey of Domaine J. De Villebois intersects with that of oenologist Alberto Tonetto, originally from Venice, who settled in Sancerre for love. Quickly, he became attached to the Loire, its climate, its soils, and found in Sauvignon Blanc the perfect medium for expression. A globetrotter with a rich career, he now dedicates all his energy to the estate, driven by a constant taste for challenge. He willingly describes himself as demanding, passionate, and committed to the truth of the terroirs, qualities he sees reflected in the wines he creates.
