How was the estate born, and what vision guides it today?

This family-run château, which now spans nearly 33 hectares of vines, also stands out for its diverse landscapes: vines, forests, fields, hillsides, and small paths form a living ecosystem that favors the expression of typical Bordeaux grape varieties. Each wine thus reflects the uniqueness of the terroirs and a lived emotion, sometimes translated on the label by artist friends or encounters, like the illustrator Nono, a former grape harvester at the estate in the 1970s!

How did you bring the estate to organic viticulture?

Terroir, organic viticulture and team spirit!

From the moment he settled on the estate, Vincent Lacoste took time to observe and understand the land where he grew up. Three years of reflection before taking action, to breathe new life into this estate that had already seen six generations. In 2009, the Organic Farming certification was obtained. A committed approach, also supported by "zero pesticide residue" tests, proof of the care given to soil preservation, wine quality, and consumer respect.

With a background in agricultural engineering, Vincent Lacoste was not originally destined for the wine world.

Quite late, destiny caught up with me

What new experiences does the estate offer around wine?

Château de Cranne, a new way to experience wine

True to his motto inspired by the All Blacks (“Being better never stops”) Vincent Lacoste, also a rugby coach at Stade Langonnais, constantly imagines new projects. In 2025, the estate will launch a non-alcoholic grape-based drink (without wine dealcoholization), an original initiative aligned with his values.

Among his most vivid memories, he recalls their first public evening event held at the estate:

We were clearly ‘overrun’, we didn’t expect that. An overwhelming feeling and at the same time, a ‘Wow’ from all that trust people gave us!
