The Corsican vineyard represents the smallest wine production of all French vineyards, with less than 1% of the total. On the Isle of Beauty, we can notably find liqueur wines. Liqueur wines can be produced throughout the Corsican vineyard by mutage of the grape must. This method, which makes it possible to produce wines between 16° and 22° alcohol, consists of interrupting fermentation by adding alcohol (96°). These wines, often appreciated for their sweetness and their complex aromas of candied fruits and spices, are perfect to accompany desserts or to be enjoyed as an aperitif. Discover the richness and singularity of Corsican liqueur wines, true treasures of the island, which will delight lovers of powerful and aromatic wines.
