A wine sweetened by the addition of liqueur upon disgorgement, an operation intended to remove deposits formed in the wine after Champenoise fermentation, that adds the bubbles to the wines of Champagne. Great drunk with desserts, but also to be enjoyed with goose or duck foie gras during the festive season, in which case a single glass only should be served.
