Champagne Alain Lallement: Grand Cru excellence at the heart of the Montagne de Reims

A family estate shaped by four decades of passion. Established in Verzy since 1985, Maison Alain Lallement is the heir to a long lineage of winegrowers originating from Verzy and Rilly-la-Montagne. The 19th-century family house shelters a vaulted cellar carved into chalk: a place where natural coolness and constant humidity become the best allies in ageing champagne.

For more than 30 years, the Lallement family has cultivated the vineyard with meticulous care and a simple philosophy: respect nature to reveal the best of the terroir. Alain, then his son Antoine together with his partner Camille, have modernised the estate while maintaining sustainable farming practices, favouring gentle methods and reducing treatments to the minimum.

Today, the estate produces around 25,000 bottles per year, aged for two to four years before release. Quality remains the absolute priority, generation after generation.

An exceptional Grand Cru terroir: Verzy, jewel of the Montagne de Reims

Clinging to the hillsides of the massif, Verzy is a Grand Cru village, one of only seventeen to hold this distinction. Here, Pinot Noir reigns supreme: it expresses power, structure and elegance, shaped by the chalk soils and ideal exposures of the Montagne de Reims.

The estate also cultivates parcels in Tauxières and Rilly-la-Montagne, offering a subtle diversity that enriches the blends. Sustainable vine management, combined with participation in the RACK programme (reduction of insecticides), reflects a strong commitment: producing champagnes that respect both the land and the taste.

A warm and authentic welcome in the heart of the vineyard

Just a few minutes from Reims, the family property opens its doors to visitors eager to discover the soul of the estate. Guided cellar tours, accompanied by passionate explanations, reveal the secrets of winemaking and the art of blending. Maison Lallement remains a place of sharing: a living estate, a preserved heritage and genuine hospitality.

The Alain Lallement cuvées: the Grand Cru signature

Each cuvée expresses a facet of the Verzy terroir, balancing the power of Pinot Noir with the finesse of Chardonnay.

  • Brut Tradition
The emblematic blend (≈ 2/3 Pinot Noir – 1/3 Chardonnay) perfectly reflects the soul of Verzy Grand Cru. Freshness, structure and elegance in a single glass.
  • Demi-Sec Tradition
Based on the same foundation as the Brut Tradition but with a slightly higher dosage (32 g/L). Ideal with foie gras, desserts and festive moments.
  • Brut Rosé
Made by adding 10–14% Pinot Noir red wine, it delivers delicate fruitiness and refined balance — perfect with chocolate or red fruit desserts.
  • Cuvée Prestige
An exceptional champagne from the first press. A 50/50 blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, distinguished by depth, elegance and long cellar ageing. Available in bottle and magnum.
  • Blanc de Blancs
A 100% Chardonnay atypical for the Montagne de Reims: floral, fresh, subtle — ideal with fish and seafood.
  • Blanc de Noirs
A powerful, generous and structured 100% Pinot Noir. Perfect with sauced meats and characterful dishes.
