2014 - 75 cl

AOC Haut-Médoc

Bordeaux

A particularly good year, combiningstrength, colour, perfect maturity and freshness. Tasting: Garnet in colour, the 2014 features an intense nose of blackcurrant, raspberry and blackberry, with a high degree of maturity. Blended roasted notes and notes of mocha give it lots of elegance and an added touch of complexity. The palate, perfectly balanced between alcohol and acidity, is neither heavy nor agressive. After a dense attack, it evolves into a beautiful tight and silky tannic framework, before reaching a long, aromatic and dense finish. A powerful and elegant overall effect. Food-wine pairings: A fillet of duck with Porcini mushrooms or a rack of lamb with thyme and small spring vegetables, but also an old Gouda. Awards: Médaille d'Or Concours Bordeaux Aquitaine 2016 Grand Prix D'Excellence Vinalies 2016

CHATEAU MALESCASSE

33460 Lamarque - Bordeaux

The Château Malescasse estate was created in the upper parts of the village of Lamarque in 1824 by the Renouil family, who developed it and built the Château. The Pineguy family bought the property in 1887 and planted the best vines on gravel soils, located on the most beautiful hilltops of the commune. The renovation of the installations have allowed them to produce a quality wine that is worth the Cru Bourgeois Supérieur classification obtained in 1932. In 2012, Philippe Austruy acquired the Château Malescasse with the desire to produce excellent wines and the ambition to attain the quality of the best Haut-Médoc appellation.
