Jean-Luc Colombo Wines: The Elegance of the Rhône Valley in Harmony with Nature

A Family Estate at the Heart of Cornas. In the prestigious Rhône Valley, Domaine Jean-Luc Colombo stands as a benchmark for organic and sustainable winemaking. Founded in the 1980s by Jean-Luc and Anne Colombo, this emblematic estate of Cornas combines passion, precision, and innovation. Their adventure began in 1984 with the creation of the Centre Œnologique des Côtes du Rhône, followed by their first legendary cuvée, Les Ruchets, in 1987. Today, the Colombo family — Jean-Luc, Anne, and their daughter Laure — embodies the spirit of the Rhône: transmitted savoir-faire, preserved terroir, and a philosophy focused on the future.

A Visionary and Committed Family

Jean-Luc Colombo, oenologist and humanist, has always sought to magnify Syrah, the queen of Cornas, in deep and balanced wines. Anne Colombo, a passionate winegrower, defends biodiversity and was the first woman to preside over the Cornas AOC Syndicate. Laure Colombo, representing the second generation, brings new energy and leads the estate toward fully organic viticulture that deeply respects life. This family synergy makes the estate a model of excellence and environmental responsibility.

A Strong Commitment to Organic Farming

Since 2015, the estate has been certified Organic Agriculture. This deep commitment is built on four essential pillars: ? Zero pesticides and herbicides: the vines are naturally protected using plant-based preparations and permanent ground cover. ? Zero irrigation: deep roots draw from the granite soils, revealing the purest expression of the Cornas terroir. ? Biodiversity preservation: hedgerows, flower meadows, and birdhouses create a natural balance between fauna and flora. ? Gentle viticulture: horse plowing, plant compost, and reduced copper doses maintain healthy, living soils. The Jean-Luc Colombo estate proves that excellence and sustainability can coexist in perfect harmony.

Authentic and Distinctive Wines

Jean-Luc Colombo wines are renowned for their elegance, freshness, and depth. Each cuvée faithfully expresses the character of its terroir: Powerful and refined reds: Cornas Les Ruchets, Le Vallon de l’Aigle, Les Terres Brûlées, Côte-Rôtie La Divine, Saint-Joseph Les Lauves. Expressive and balanced whites: Condrieu Amour de Dieu, Saint-Péray La Belle de Mai, Côtes-du-Rhône La Redonne. Fresh and sunny rosés: Lili Jolie and Les Pins Couchés, charming summer wines full of brightness and character. These wines, crafted with precision and respect for nature, are now enjoyed around the world — true ambassadors of the Rhône Valley.

A Philosophy: Excellence, Authenticity, and Transmission

The Colombo family has elevated wine to an art of living. From the Syrah of Cornas to the Viognier of Condrieu, each bottle reflects the humanistic and sincere vision of a family of winemakers united by their love for wine and for nature.
