A heritage born of the land and its people
Founded by Etienne Boileau, Christian Simon and William Nahan, Domaine du Chardonnay has evolved while remaining faithful to its roots. From an initial vineyard of 11 hectares, it quickly grew to reach 34.5 hectares dedicated exclusively to white wines of the Chardonnay grape. Each vintage conveys the richness of a terroir shaped by generations, between mastered modernity and respect for tradition.
Precise winemaking, guided by quality
Each step of the winemaking is carried out at the estate with rigour: from harvest to ageing, the process rests on technical choices that respect the integrity of the fruit. Thanks to high-performing facilities (pneumatic pressing, temperature control, in-house bottling), the teams vinify each cuvee with an artisan precision, revealing the pure expression of Chardonnay.
Appellations to express the diversity of the Chablis terroir
Domaine du Chardonnay produces a full range of white wines in AOC: the Petit Chablis, lively and floral; the Chablis, mineral and balanced; and the Chablis Premiers Crus, from plots selected on the right bank and the left bank of the Serein. This diversity of appellations illustrates with precision the influence of the soil, the exposure and the vintage on the aromatic profile of Chardonnay.
