Established in 1760 by Étienne Tourteau, a royal notary, Château Tourteau Chollet benefits from a prime location in the heart of the Graves terroir. For the past 20 years, this family-owned estate has highlighted the exceptional quality of the Bordeaux clay-limestone soils, offering some of the finest wines from Graves.

The Château operates with three guiding principles: Respect, Quality, and Trust. Respect for the environment, in particular, is a fundamental value for the vintner. Since 2001, the estate has used ladybugs to combat pests and has installed beehives to enrich the biodiversity in its vineyard. Initially certified Terra Vitis in 2005, HVE (High Environmental Value) in 2012, and Bee Friendly in 2019, the estate continues its ecological evolution by converting to organic farming. The goal is simple: to produce wines that are both high in quality and environmentally friendly. Since 2015, Château Tourteau Chollet has even produced a red wine without sulfites, the cuvée “C’est pas G…”, a vibrant and authentic wine reflecting the personality of the Graves terroir.
Château Tourteau Chollet enjoys a prime location in the Graves appellation within the Bordeaux region. Understanding that the identity and quality of a wine are the result of the interplay between soil, climate, and human effort, the vintner has channeled his passion into this terroir to continually produce better wines. This passion was passed down to him by his grandfather, who shared his love for wine from a young age.
Château Tourteau Chollet offers three wine ranges for every occasion. Wines from the Graves appellation, both red and white, to accompany fine meals. A more original cuvée, featuring a red wine without sulfites. And a prestigious range,“1760 Grand Vin” (paying homage to the château’s origins), with more complex AOC Gravescuvées in red and white that have great aging potential.
The estate's hard work bore fruit in 2011 when its cuvées won gold medals at the Concours Général de Paris, in both white and red categories! This recognition is fitting, as the Château Tourteau Chollet's primary motivation is the pleasure of its consumers. As the vintner likes to remind:

Château Tourteau Chollet dates back to 1760, founded by Étienne Tourteau, a royal notary of the time, making it one of the older estates in the Graves appellation. The same family has run the property for the past two decades, with a clear focus on caring for the surrounding environment.
The estate sits within the Graves appellation in the Bordeaux region, on soils that mix clay and sand, a combination that shapes the character of its red and white wines. This location places the property at the heart of one of Bordeaux's historic wine districts.
The estate has followed a gradual environmental path since the early 2000s: natural pest control using ladybugs, beehives placed among the vines, then certifications such as Terra Vitis, HVE and Bee Friendly earned step by step. It is now moving toward full organic conversion.
It is the estate's red wine made without added sulfites, produced since 2015. The cuvée reflects the winemaker's wish to go further than certifications alone, offering a rawer, fruit-forward wine that expresses the Graves style in its own way.
The estate offers three ranges: classic red and white Graves wines, the sulfite-free cuvée, and a premium range called "1760 Grand Vin", named after the château's founding year, with greater aging potential. These wines earned a gold medal at the Concours Général de Paris in 2011.
