AOC Vin de Corse - Porto-Vecchio

The Corsican vineyard represents the smallest wine production of all French vineyards, with less than 1% of the total. On the Isle of Beauty, we can notably find the AOC Vin de Corse - Porto-Vecchio.The appellation area of ​​this AOC extends between Solenzara and Bonifacio over a little over 90 hectares of limestone, granite and marl hillsides. Vines of niellucio, vermentino, sciaccarello and grenache mainly are subject to the Mediterranean climate that is both very sunny and tempered by the mistral of this geographical area, and allow the production of white, rosé and red wines. The wines of this appellation are elegant and round in the mouth (reds), aromatic and fine (rosés), and both fruity and dry (whites).
