AOC Pouilly-Vinzelles
Burgundy, in central-eastern France, is one of France's oldest wine-growing regions, renowned for its great vintages. The AOC Pouilly-Vinzelles covers just over 50 hectares of limestone, marl and chalk soils in southern Burgundy. Chardonnay vines are planted on the hillsides of this appellation, which produces only white wines. These are mineral, powerful wines that perfectly express the characteristic aromas of Chardonnay: honey, white flowers (acacia), fruit and citrus in young wines, almond and hazelnut after a few years. These fine, high-quality wines can be kept for 5 to 10 years.
