In the south of France, the very sunny vineyard of Languedoc-Roussillon extends over more than 240,000 hectares from Nîmes to Leucate (Aude), making it one of the largest vineyards in the world. It includes the AOC Muscat de Frontignan.

The appellation area of this AOC extends near the town of Frontignan over some 810 hectares of soils mainly composed of limestone. Muscat à petits grains vines, subject to the Mediterranean climate and sea winds of this geographical area, are planted in this appellation and produce naturally sweet wines. These wines are rich, long in the mouth and give off aromas of dried and exotic fruits, apricot and citrus fruits.
