In the center-east of France, Burgundy is one of the oldest French wine regions, known for its very great vintages. It includes in particular the AOC Chablis Grand Cru.Its appellation area extends over the territory of the commune of Chablis and its surroundings on a total of 107 hectares of vines, planted on 7 different climates (lieux-dits). The white wines produced in this prestigious AOC are made exclusively from the Chardonnay grape variety. These are wines of great finesse with a beautiful minerality and they are wines of very good keeping quality, which can be kept for 10 to 15 years (more for some vintages).
