With this maturation we seek a balance between the fruitiness and spiciness of Cairanne wines and the aromas specific to French oak, vanilla and toasted notes. I detected aromas specific to dark chocolate and still a freshness that has been the mark of the Domaine des Amadieu. When tasting now, this freshness is expressed by the youth of this wine, and is therefore a sign of superb long-keeping potential. The texture of the wine goes from silky to velvety with excellent length in the mouth

Corine and Yves Jean Houser would be delighted to show you their estate and their AOC Côtes du Rhône Villages Cairanne wines.We bought the Domaine des Amadieu in 2007; this was a new profession for Yves Jean and a new lifestyle for the whole family. Passionate about agriculture and agronomists by training, we do everything ourselves, from the vines to making the wines.Domaine des Amadieu is a beautiful 7-hectare property in Cairanne, a village in the Vaucluse, between the Rhône and Mont Ventoux. The different typical Côtes du Rhône varieties: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Carignan are spread over the different terroirs in the village.From the beginning, we cultivated our vines using Certified Organic Production. The 4 hectares of vines that are over 50 years old are pruned using the 'goblet' technique, which is traditional for this region. In 2012, we began biodynamic production, to improve the minerality and the natural balance of our wines. Finally, we harvest by hand to be able to select the best ripeness of the grapes and also to sort the grapes if necessary.The winery, built in the Provençal style in 1992, allows us to carry out traditional vinification by variety or by plot. We therefore produce 35,000 bottles of fine, elegant wines, "regularly at the best level of the appellation, sold at very fair prices", according to Guide de la RVF, 2013.
