Vignobles J. Queyrens & Fils, family Bordeaux wines for 7 generations
Vignobles J. Queyrens & Fils
Winegrowers in Donzac, in the Entre-Deux-Mers, for 7 generations. 65 hectares on the Garonne hillsides, certified HVE. A complete range of Bordeaux wines: red, white, rosé, Cremant de Bordeaux and Sainte-Croix-du-Mont sweet wine. An estate-bottling grower, from vine to bottle.
A family estate handed down for over 100 years. The Vignobles J. Queyrens & Fils embody the living history of a Bordeaux estate passed down for 7 generations. Settled for over a century in Donzac, at the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers, the Queyrens family cultivates the vine with constancy: passing on know-how while developing its practices. Since the 1960s, with the development of the estate by Jean and Yvette Queyrens, through to the arrival of the new generations, the estate has been structured around a clear vision: to master every step, from vine to bottle.
A 65-hectare vineyard on the Garonne hillsides
To this day, the estate is a propriétaire récoltant (estate-bottling grower), handling the production, winemaking, blending and marketing of its wines with total control over quality. The estate spans 65 hectares of vines on the rolling hillsides of Donzac, overlooking the right bank of the Garonne. This natural relief offers excellent drainage and optimal exposure, favouring a homogeneous ripening of the grapes. The grape mix is precisely divided: the red grapes (2/3 of the vineyard) - Merlot 60%, Cabernet Sauvignon 30%, Cabernet Franc 10% - give round, fruity, accessible wines; the white grapes (1/3) - Semillon 80%, Sauvignon 20% - give the estate's signature in dry white as in sweet wine. This diversity allows a complete range: reds, whites, rosés, sparkling and sweet wines.
A reasoned viticulture, certified HVE
The estate practises a reasoned viticulture, certified High Environmental Value (HVE) over all 65 hectares: soil work with natural grassing, Bordeaux pruning to control yields, precise monitoring of ripeness, leaf removal to optimise sunlight and treatments adapted to real needs. Every decision aims to produce healthy, concentrated and expressive grapes, while preserving the soils and biodiversity.

Precise harvests and a mastered winemaking
The harvest calendar is adapted plot by plot. The picking begins with the grapes for the cremants, hand-harvested; then come the dry whites and rosés, then the Merlots, followed by the Cabernets. For the sweet wines, the estate takes advantage of the natural development of botrytis on Semillon, giving rich, concentrated wines. In the cellar, tradition and modernity combine to preserve the expression of the fruit: concrete and stainless-steel tanks, temperature control, pneumatic pressing. The wines are then aged, precisely blended and bottled at the estate, guaranteeing full traceability.
The cuvees of the Vignobles J. Queyrens & Fils
One of the most complete ranges in family Bordeaux. Chateau du Pilet offers AOC Bordeaux in red, white and rosé; Altitude 120 metres (Cotes de Bordeaux) is the prestige cuvee, more concentrated; Noir Pur (Vin de France) lets Merlot express itself freely. On the sparkling side, the Cuvee de Chapput signs a traditional-method Cremant de Bordeaux. Finally, the Chateau des Graves du Tich carries the colours of the AOC Sainte-Croix-du-Mont, a sweet wine of botrytised Semillon, rich and complex. From dry to sweet, one same family demand.
Château du Pilet
AOC Bordeaux - red, white & rosé
The estate's signature wine, in three colours. The Red (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc), balanced, with supple tannins and aromas of ripe fruit; the White (Semillon, Sauvignon), fresh and fruity, ideal with fish and seafood; the Rosé (Merlot), gourmet and convivial.
Altitude 120 mètres
AOC Côtes de Bordeaux - the prestige cuvee
A cuvee that carries the altitude of the vineyard as its signature: more concentrated, structured expressions of the Donzac hillsides, in the Cotes de Bordeaux appellation. A red for ageing, cut out for fine tables and lovers of structured Bordeaux.
Noir Pur
Vin de France, red - a plot expression
A free cuvee, outside the appellation, that lets the terroir express itself without constraint. Merlot in its most direct, concentrated and fruity form. The estate's creative, sincere touch.
Cuvée de Chapput
AOC Crémant de Bordeaux - traditional method
A sparkling wine with fine, elegant bubbles, from hand-picked grapes. Cremant de Bordeaux is still rare and little known; the Cuvee de Chapput is a fine expression of it, as an aperitif or for any celebration.
Château des Graves du Tich
AOC Sainte-Croix-du-Mont - sweet wine
A sweet wine with notes of honey and candied fruit, rich and complex, born of natural botrytis on Semillon. The AOC Sainte-Croix-du-Mont, a little-known gem of the Garonne right bank, delivers here one of its most sincere expressions.

Frequently asked questions about the Vignobles J. Queyrens & Fils
Where is the Queyrens & Fils estate located?
In Donzac, in the Entre-Deux-Mers, on the right bank of the Garonne. The vineyard spans 65 hectares of rolling hillsides between 120 and 180 metres altitude, offering natural drainage and optimal exposure for the Bordeaux grapes.
What types of wine do the Vignobles Queyrens produce?
Reds, whites, rosés, cremants and sweet wines in AOC Bordeaux, AOC Cotes de Bordeaux and AOC Sainte-Croix-du-Mont. The estate also offers a Vin de France cuvee (Noir Pur) and gift boxes, making it one of the most complete Bordeaux ranges in direct sale.
Which grapes are grown on the estate?
Merlot (60%), Cabernet Sauvignon (30%) and Cabernet Franc (10%) for the reds; Semillon (80%) and Sauvignon (20%) for the whites. The dominant Merlot gives the wines roundness and fruit; Semillon, the king grape of the right bank, is the signature of the dry whites and the Sainte-Croix-du-Mont sweet wine.
What is a propriétaire récoltant (estate-bottling grower)?
An estate-bottling grower is a winemaker who masters the whole chain, from vine to bottle: growing, harvest, winemaking, blending, ageing and bottling at the estate. This is the case at the Vignobles Queyrens, which guarantees total control over quality and full traceability of the wines.
What is the Sainte-Croix-du-Mont appellation and why is it remarkable?
Sainte-Croix-du-Mont is a little-known Bordeaux appellation, on the right bank of the Garonne, facing Sauternes. It produces sweet wines from Semillon touched by botrytis, a noble rot that concentrates the grape in sugar and aromas. The Chateau des Graves du Tich is the estate's expression: honey, candied fruit, richness and complexity, at very favourable value for money.
What is Crémant de Bordeaux?
Cremant de Bordeaux is a sparkling wine made by the traditional method (second fermentation in the bottle), from Bordeaux grapes. Still rare and little known, it offers fine, elegant bubbles. The estate's Cuvee de Chapput, from hand-picked grapes, is a fine expression of it, as an aperitif or for celebrations.
Which Queyrens wine to choose to go with a meal?
The Chateau du Pilet Rouge pairs with red meats, grills and matured cheeses; the Chateau du Pilet Blanc goes with fish, seafood, shellfish and salads; the Rosé is cut out for aperitifs and convivial meals; the Chateau des Graves du Tich (sweet) matches foie gras, fruity desserts or blue cheeses.
Which Queyrens wine to give or choose for a first discovery?
To give an original wine, the Chateau des Graves du Tich (Sainte-Croix-du-Mont) always surprises: a little-known Bordeaux sweet wine, elegant and accessible. For a first discovery of the range, the Queyrens gift box gathers the estate's representative cuvees. For a festive gift, the Cuvee de Chapput (Cremant de Bordeaux) works on any occasion.
How long can the Vignobles Queyrens wines be kept?
The Chateau du Pilet Red and White are best enjoyed within 3 to 5 years; the Rosé and the Cremant within 2 to 3 years, for their freshness; the Altitude 120 metres cuvee (Cotes de Bordeaux), more structured, keeps 5 to 8 years; the Chateau des Graves du Tich (sweet) can age 10 to 15 years in the cellar and gains in complexity over time.
What characterises the Vignobles Queyrens wines?
Balanced, aromatic wines faithful to the terroir, with great consistency. Produced through a short supply chain over 65 mastered hectares from vine to bottle, they represent the authenticity of family Bordeaux: no industrial brand, no anonymous blend, one family, one place, a know-how passed down over 7 generations.
Is the estate committed to sustainable viticulture?
Yes. The estate is certified High Environmental Value (HVE). The reasoned viticulture practised over the 65 hectares includes natural grassing, controlled Bordeaux pruning, leaf removal to optimise sunlight and treatments adapted to the vineyard's real needs only, for healthy grapes while preserving the soils and biodiversity.
Can the Queyrens & Fils wines be ordered direct from the estate?
Yes: the wines of the Vignobles J. Queyrens & Fils are available here, direct from the estate, with careful delivery across France and Europe. Ordering through a short supply chain means accessing the estate's cuvees directly, with no middleman, at the right price, with every guarantee of freshness and traceability.
