Bardet Vineyards: Exceptional Terroir and Soil Diversity
Since 1704, the Bardet Vineyards have flourished on the banks of the Dordogne River in Vignonet, south of Saint-Émilion. Today, this family estate is led by Philippe Bardet and his children Alice, Paul-Arthur, and Thibault, who carry on an authentic winemaking tradition.
The estate covers 50 hectares in Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, spread across more than 100 varied plots. This mosaic of soils (limestone, gravel, sand, clay) combined with diverse exposures and microclimates, offers an incredible aromatic range to their wines. This strategic distribution also helps minimize risks related to frost, hail, or pests, ensuring consistent quality and harvests. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc are carefully cultivated plot by plot, revealing the full richness of the terroir.
Sustainable Innovation and HVE 3 Environmental Certification
Faithful to a philosophy combining tradition and innovation, the Bardet Vineyards have been practicing agroecology since 1983, with deep respect for natural resources and a controlled ecological footprint.
This rigorous approach has earned the estate the High Environmental Value (HVE) Level 3 certification, a symbol of responsible and environmentally friendly viticulture, in accordance with French government standards.
Whether through single-vineyard selections, subtle blends, sulfite-free vinifications, or collaborations, each Bardet wine embodies authenticity and consistency. From Châteaux to Grand Crus, these wines appeal to both discerning connoisseurs and curious enthusiasts, with every bottle reflecting the deep connection between nature, terroir, and craftsmanship.
