Vignerons du Mont Ventoux: a collective story at the heart of a high-altitude terroir
Vignerons du Mont Ventoux
A union of winegrowers in Bedoin since 1924, at the foot of the Giant of Provence. A high-altitude vineyard (200-500 m) in a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, around 1,000 hectares in AOC Ventoux and IGP Méditerranée, CSR-committed since 2007. Reds, rosés and whites of rare freshness.
For nearly a century, the Vignerons du Mont Ventoux have flown high the colours of a unique vineyard, shaped by history, nature and the commitment of the women and men who cultivate it. Here, at the foot of the Giant of Provence, wine is not a mere product: it is a living memory, passed down from generation to generation.
From ancient roots to the birth of a committed collective
In Bedoin, the vine has been present since Antiquity. Gallo-Roman remains bear witness to it, as does the etymology of the village name, often interpreted as the cradle of wine. The first great artisans of this culture were the monks of the Abbey of Montmajour, before powerful local families contributed, from the 13th century, to the fame of the Ventoux wines, then comparable to those of Chateauneuf-du-Pape. In 1924, several winegrowing families decided to unite in order to protect this wine heritage, pool their know-how and give a common voice to this exceptional terroir.

A classified and preserved high-altitude terroir
The vineyard flourishes on the south-western foothills of Mont Ventoux, classified a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO since 1990. Between 200 and 500 metres of altitude, the vines enjoy one of the coolest microclimates of the southern Rhône Valley. The Ventoux acts as a natural rampart against the Mistral, while the hard limestone soils and ancient alluvium bring freshness, tension and aromatic expression to the wines. This meeting of Alpine and Mediterranean influences creates a remarkable biodiversity, naturally reflected in the balance of the wines.
Wines in the image of the Ventoux: expressive and nuanced
Inspired by this contrasting landscape, the wines of the Vignerons du Mont Ventoux stand out for their natural freshness and aromatic diversity. The reds offer supple, generous profiles, blending red fruits, spices, liquorice and sometimes more evolved notes of leather or truffle. The rosés, fresh and persistent, reveal aromas of cherry, raspberry and spring flowers. The whites, elegant and bright, express notes of iris, acacia and citrus. Each cuvee is vinified with care, combining traditional practices and modern techniques, then aged and bottled at the cellar.
Appellations, grapes and cuvees to discover
The vineyard covers around 1,000 hectares, of which 820 in AOC Ventoux and 180 in IGP Méditerranée, offering a wide palette of grapes and styles. From the emblematic Altitude 500 cuvee to the ranges by colour, here are the wines to discover direct from the cellar.
