Between Vienne and Avignon, where Mediterranean sunshine meets the brisk, steady breath of the Mistral, a house was built around one simple idea: to reveal, without artifice, the very best the Rhône Valley's winemakers have to offer. Founded in 2016, nRm Millésimes is not a conventional wine merchant. It is the result of a rare partnership, between a wine industry strategist and an exceptional taster, dedicated to a vast, often underestimated vineyard.

Jean-Marc Pottiez and Romain Duvernay do not produce wines, they choose them. With unwavering standards, in direct partnership with estates committed to organic or High Environmental Value (HVE) farming, for cuvées faithful to their terroir and regularly acclaimed on the international stage.

A house born from a human partnership and a shared passion

It begins with a meeting. Jean-Marc Pottiez spent decades leading major Champagne houses, Nicolas Feuillatte, Jacquart, before creating the Fortant de France brand. A man of the field, of networks, of vision. By 2016, he was looking for something more personal, more rooted. He found Romain Duvernay.

Romain knows the Rhône Valley intimately. He speaks of it the way people speak of a homeland, with precision and with affection. A respected taster, he reads a wine the way others read a face: finding in it what the winemaker put of himself, what the soil gave that particular year, what time has done. Together, they founded nRm Millésimes with a clear ambition: to travel between estates, to listen to winemakers, to understand their commitments, and to select, with exacting standards, what truly deserves to be brought to light.

The Rhône Valley: an exceptional terroir, from north to south

The Rhône Valley is a 250-kilometre journey between two worlds. In the north, the steep granite slopes of Côte-Rôtie and Crozes-Hermitage, where Syrah clings to the hillsides as if it knows this is where it belongs. In the south, the vast expanses of rounded river stones at Châteauneuf-du-Pape, heated white by the sun, where complex, deep and generous blends take shape.

Between the two: limestone clay soils, gentle reliefs, hilltop villages, and the Mistral wind, which sweeps regularly through the vines, preserving their natural health and concentrating their aromas. France's third-largest vineyard by surface area, yet first in terms of diversity: age-worthy reds, expressive whites still too little known, characterful rosés, sweet wines. It is from this wealth that Romain Duvernay draws his selections, not the easiest choices, but always the truest.

The house works in close partnership with every estate it represents. Romain Duvernay is present at blending sessions, advises, tastes, refines. This is not a catalogue selection, it is an ongoing dialogue between winemaker and taster, year after year.

Priority is given to estates committed to environmentally responsible viticulture. Particular care is taken to preserve the aromatic identity of each grape variety and to highlight the unique characteristics of each terroir. The standard is unwavering: quality always finds its way to the top.

nRm Millésimes does not buy bulk wine to resell. Romain Duvernay is directly involved in blending and oversees the aromatic identity of each cuvée. This is a co-construction approach, not simple distribution.
