Manoir de la Vignière – An Independent Estate in the Heart of Touraine
On the left bank of the Cher, in Pouillé, between Saint-Aignan and Montrichard, the Manoir de la Vignière cultivates an authentic identity: a small, passionate team – Christine, Frédéric – united around a single goal, creating wines that faithfully reflect their terroir.
An independent winegrower certified High Environmental Value (HVE3), the estate relies on an intimate knowledge of its soil, its grape varieties and its environment.
With 15 hectares in the Touraine AOC, the Manoir de la Vignière produces white, red, rosé and sparkling wines thanks to a mosaic of carefully assembled grape varieties. Each vat, each harvest, each bottle is the result of deep commitment to sustainable viticulture.
Touraine, Land of Châteaux and Wines
The estate is located in the heart of a region emblematic of the Loire Valley. Here, vineyard landscapes sit alongside some of France’s most famous châteaux.
The Touraine vineyard, which extends over nearly 6,000 hectares, is dominated by two major grape varieties:
– Sauvignon, the star of white wines
– Gamay, the pillar of smooth, fruity reds
Touraine has a unique character: its red wines are often crafted from a marriage of Gamay, Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir. A combination that produces lively, joyful wines, reflecting the French heritage they represent.
Montrichard, a Vibrant Territory
Located along the right bank of the Cher, Montrichard still carries the shadow of its medieval keep.
This dynamic town of 3,500 inhabitants benefits from a preserved environment with more than 800 hectares of forest and many hiking trails.
It is a vibrant place where history, nature and local culture blend.
Thésée, an Ancient Land
A few minutes from the estate, the village of Thésée tells an incredible Gallo-Roman story.
Its remains, including the Maselles site, bear witness to a rich past shared with Pouillé.
Archaeology lovers and curious visitors will find a fascinating immersion into the origins of the Cher Valley.
