Les Vignobles de Maxime
Three Bordeaux chateaux led by Maxime Bontoux: Chateau Tourteau Chollet in the Graves, Chateau Grand Lartigue and Chateau Ferrand Lartigue in Saint-Emilion Grand Cru. Certified Terra Vitis, HVE 3 and Bee Friendly, in organic conversion since 2021. Elegant, authentic wines reflecting the Bordeaux terroirs.
At the heart of the prestigious terroirs of Bordeaux, Les Vignobles de Maxime embody a committed vision of wine: respectful of nature, faithful to tradition and turned towards the future. Bringing together three emblematic estates - Chateau Tourteau Chollet in the Graves, Chateau Grand Lartigue and Chateau Ferrand Lartigue in Saint-Emilion Grand Cru - this wine adventure has been led for over twenty years by Maxime Bontoux, a passionate winegrower and champion of sustainable viticulture.
The approach of Les Vignobles de Maxime rests on a strong conviction: to produce great Bordeaux wines while preserving the ecosystems. As early as 2005, the estates obtained Terra Vitis certification, followed in 2012 by the High Environmental Value label (HVE 3), a guarantee of practices respectful of biodiversity. In 2019, Bee Friendly certification crowned this commitment, guaranteeing the protection of bees and pollinators essential to the life of the vines. Since 2021, the chateaux have been pursuing their conversion to organic farming, affirming their will for a greener, purer future.
Biodiversity and responsible viticulture
Les Vignobles de Maxime strive to create a living, balanced environment. Hedgerows protect wildlife, cover crops feed the soils, and vine cabins host birds and insects. These practices foster the natural resilience of the vineyard and contribute to the production of elegant, authentic wines. Here, every gesture is designed to respect the land and magnify the fruit.

A Norman by origin and deeply attached to the land, Maxime Bontoux left an international career at the Coca-Cola Company to devote himself to the vine. After training at the Bordeaux Faculty of Oenology, he founded Les Vignobles de Maxime and restructured the properties with two priorities: modernising the cellars and valuing biodiversity. He also revived historic grapes such as Malbec, a symbol of a return to Bordeaux tradition. Thanks to this commitment, the estates have earned many distinctions: membership of the Grand Cercle des Vins de Bordeaux, the Vignobles & Decouvertes label and the Best Of Wine Tourism 2024 prize for their exceptional wine-tourism accommodation.
The wines reflect the diversity of the Bordeaux terroirs. Chateau Tourteau Chollet (Graves) gives fine, silky and elegant reds and whites, with oaky and spicy notes; here too are its grand vin 1760 and a second wine. Chateau Grand Lartigue (Saint-Emilion Grand Cru), dominated by Merlot, expresses the power of the ancient sands; Chateau Ferrand Lartigue (Saint-Emilion Grand Cru) is refined and harmonious, completed by Chateau Queyron Lartigue. Finally, the natural wine C'est pas G..! (Bordeaux) offers a free, contemporary interpretation.
