Family History: The Hepp Distillery and Alsatian Whisky Tradition

Coming from a family of Alsaciens (people frome Alsace) distillers, René Hepp set up his distillery in Uberach near the city of Strasbourg.

His grandson Yannick, passionate about his carreer of fruits distillator and wanting to wanting to take advantage of the brewing tradition in Alsace, turns under the impulse of his father Tharcis in 2007 towards the creation of Alsatian whiskies (PGI).

With 3 Carl alembics of 450 litres, Yannick develops whiskies of an irreproachable technicality and now watches over more than 700 barrels in ageing.

Time does not stand still, the Hepp range is approaching its 10th anniversary . This is a rare range for french Whiskies : from the discovery spirit of the two Ouiski, to the unctuous Tharcis vintages.
