In Pouilly, in the majestic shadow of the Roche de Solutre, Domaine Trouillet embodies all that makes the greatness of the Maconnais: a solid family heritage, exceptional terroirs and an unwavering passion for Chardonnay. Today run by William Trouillet, fourth generation, and his wife Caroline, the estate extends over 20 hectares of vines.
A fine growth when one knows that its founder, Jules Guerin, cultivated only 4 hectares as a sharecropper. Here, time has done its work, the family has handed down its knowledge, and the vineyard has grown like a living organism, guided by respect for the land.

A mosaic of terroirs shaping wines of remarkable precision
The estate's vines, averaging 40 to 50 years old, extend over six emblematic villages: Solutre-Pouilly, Fuisse, Loche, Vinzelles, Leynes and Davaye. These clay-limestone soils, with subtle variations, offer a rare diversity of Chardonnay expressions. Each cuvee captures a landscape, a light, a different altitude: the freshness of Mont Pouilly, the depth of the Chailloux, the power of the old vines... Burgundy in all its nuance.
A philosophy turned towards nature and precision
At Domaine Trouillet, the work begins in the vineyard: reasoned management, reduced treatments through adapted practices, soil work to favour microbial life and rooting, and a permanent search for balance and purity. This respectful approach was rewarded in 2018 with HVE level 3 certification. In the cellar, the same attention to detail: delicate pressing in a pneumatic press, rigorous 24-hour settling, vinification in vats, casks or Burgundy barrels according to the cuvees, and precise temperature control to preserve freshness and finesse.
