Domaine Tour Saint Michel is above all a human adventure, rooted in time and carried by the same family since 1930. It all began with Michel Fabre, who acquired the first vines; his son Henri, supported by his wife Éliane, developed the estate. Since 2007, Mireille Fabre has embodied a new dynamic and has evolved the style of the wines with sensitivity and precision. Her daughters, Magali and Mélanie, joined her in 2018 and 2023, ensuring a rare and precious continuity.
Châteauneuf-du-Pape: a solar and demanding terroir
The vines of Domaine Tour Saint Michel are located on the warmest and most luminous part of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, in the south of the appellation, on the famous rolled pebbles. These soils store the heat of the day and release it at night, favouring optimal ripeness of the grapes. The historic parcels of les Gallimardes, Crouscroute, les Petites Serres or le Grand Coulet sit alongside more northern sectors such as Terres Blanches, Brusquières or Fargueirol, offering a beautiful diversity of expressions. Grapes chosen for their natural balance
Of the 13 grapes authorised in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the estate works with 7, selected for their complementarity and their ability to translate the terroir. In red: Grenache (generous and structuring), Syrah (elegant), Mourvèdre (deep) and Cinsault (delicate). In white: Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and Clairette. These blends give birth to solar yet balanced wines, powerful without heaviness, always readable.
A concrete, assumed environmental commitment
At Domaine Tour Saint Michel, respect for living things is not a speech, but a daily practice. The vines are managed using sustainable (raisonnee) viticulture, without chemical weedkillers; the soils are worked mechanically with a plough, with suitable tools to preserve microbial life. The estate is certified HVE level 3 and committed to organic farming, with official certification obtained from the 2023 vintage. In the cellar, the vinifications take place in stainless steel and concrete tanks, with precise temperature control and wood used sparingly: the ageing favours the expression of the grape, the vintage and the place.
