Domaine Roman tells a rare, patient story, deeply rooted in the land of the Vaucluse. A family story, passed down since 1885, where each generation has added its stone to the edifice without ever betraying the essential: respect for the soil and living matter. It all began when Martinien took over the farm of the Marquis de Causans, then dedicated to mixed farming. The vine only entered the family history in 1965, when Ginette and Andre planted the first plots.

An organic vineyard in the heart of the Rhone appellations

Today, Domaine Roman covers 25 hectares in Jonquieres, between Avignon and Vaison-la-Romaine. All the vines are farmed organically to preserve the richness of the soils and promote the natural expression of the grapes, under a Mediterranean climate tempered by the mistral.

From clay-limestone garrigue soils, this organic Vacqueyras blends Grenache and Syrah in equal parts. Hand-harvested, vinified at low temperature and aged six months in stainless steel, it offers an elegant, structured wine, with aromas of ripe fruits and fine spices.
