A few steps from Meursault, Beaune and Pommard, Domaine Philippe Germain embodies one of the finest expressions of the Burgundian winegrowing heritage. Based in Nantoux, a charming village nestled in the heights of the Cote de Beaune, the estate tells the story of a close-knit family, driven by the taste for work well done and the will to make their wines shine well beyond borders.

A family adventure since 1995
When Philippe Germain took over the family estate in 1995, it had 9 hectares of vines. Visionary and determined, he gradually extended the property to 13 hectares, modernised the working tools and made the estate's wines known across the world.
At his side, his wife Isabelle handles the administrative management. This two-person organisation, solid and harmonious, allows Philippe to devote himself fully to the vine and to crafting wines faithful to the character of the Burgundian terroir.
In 2008, a new page opened with the arrival of Maxime Champaud, Philippe's nephew. Driven by a deep passion for the vine, he contributed to the expansion of the estate by adding 6 more hectares. Together, they form today a close-knit family team, committed to a common quest: to express the purity of the terroirs of Nantoux and the Cote de Beaune.
A vineyard at the heart of the greatest appellations
Domaine Philippe Germain benefits from an exceptional location. Nantoux lies at the crossroads of legendary villages: Meursault, Auxey-Duresses, Volnay, Pommard, Beaune. This proximity is found in the diversity of the appellations worked by the estate, which reveals all the finesse of the Burgundian grapes.
The white wines: freshness, elegance and purity
The Burgundian whites are here the fruit of meticulous work. The harvest is manual, the winemaking entirely done at the estate, and the ageing takes place in oak barrels for 8 to 10 months, in order to preserve freshness while bringing suppleness and complexity.
