Domaine Le Loup Bleu: organic wines at the foot of the Sainte-Victoire
Domaine Le Loup Bleu
A family estate certified organic in Puyloubier, at the foot of the Sainte-Victoire mountain, near Aix-en-Provence. The Dubois family farms 10 hectares in Côtes de Provence: rosés, whites and reds, grown organically.
At the foot of the Sainte-Victoire so dear to Cézanne, in Puyloubier, near Aix-en-Provence, the Dubois family changed their lives in 2012 to become winegrowers. Across 10 hectares grown organically, are born Provence wines full of freshness, delicate rosés, aromatic whites and mineral reds, to discover direct on Avenue des Vins.
A career change in the land of Cézanne
Domaine Le Loup Bleu was born in 2012 from a change of life: Marc and Sylvie Dubois took over and restructured a 10-hectare vineyard at the foot of the Sainte-Victoire, in Puyloubier, near Aix-en-Provence. Today they run the estate as a family, with Caroline, three first names, three complementary talents at the service of the vine and the wine.
The name blends two inspirations: the emblem of Puyloubier, the "podium luperium" or wolves' hill, and the magic of the blue hour, that instant when the sky turns deep blue. A blue dear to Marc, in homage to the sky and to his passion for aviation, found again in the names of the cuvées (Vol de Nuit, Croix du Sud).
The estate's philosophy
Make a great Provence wine while caring for the living. Here, no insecticide or herbicide: the estate has been certified organic since 2015 and draws on certain principles of biodynamics (lunar cycles). The soils are worked mechanically and by hand, for a living terroir that comes through in the glass.

Puyloubier, the Sainte-Victoire and Cézanne's Provence
The vineyard stretches across Puyloubier, at 400 metres of altitude, in a true natural amphitheatre: the Sainte-Victoire mountain to the north, the Aurélien hills to the south. This relief shelters the vines from the Mistral while giving them the sunshine and cool nights that favour fine balance.
This is the heart of the Cru Sainte-Victoire, one of the most renowned geographical denominations of the AOP Côtes de Provence. A landscape of garrigue, pines and cypresses, in the wild, luminous Provence that Cézanne painted.

Between the Sainte-Victoire and the Aurélien hills, a cool, sunny terroir, ideal for delicate rosés and balanced, mineral reds.
Organic farming, biodynamics and biodiversity
At Le Loup Bleu, nature reigns. The estate has been certified organic since 2015 and draws on biodynamics: soil worked mechanically and by hand, green manures, respect for lunar cycles. No insecticide, no herbicide.
All around the vines, biodiversity has its place: dry-stone walls, varied hedgerows, a pond, nest boxes for bats and the little owl, shelters for small wildlife. A living ecosystem that protects the vine and nourishes the terroir.
In the cellar: precise winemaking
In the cellar, each cuvée takes its time. The wines ferment and age in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, oak barrels or stoneware eggs depending on the cuvée, to preserve the fruit and reveal the finesse of the terroir. The cellar can be visited: a chance to discover the stages of winemaking and to taste on site.
The estate's range
The estate produces in AOP Côtes de Provence and Côtes de Provence Cru Sainte-Victoire.
Vol de Nuit white
AOP Côtes de Provence
The Vol de Nuit white blends Rolle (Vermentino) and Clairette. An aromatic, fruity white with citrus notes. To enjoy from the aperitif or with fish or fresh goat's cheeses.
Vol de Nuit rosé
AOP Côtes de Provence
A nod to aviation: a delicate rosé (Grenache, Syrah, Rolle, Clairette) on raspberry and white fruits, with lovely freshness. Perfect for the aperitif or with prawns or grilled dishes.
Croix du Sud rosé
AOP Côtes de Provence Cru Sainte-Victoire
The high-altitude terroir in the glass: Grenache and Syrah sign a gastronomic rosé, fresh, with great finesse and elegance. With its notes of citrus and exotic fruits, it pairs beautifully with scallops, grilled sea bass or salmon.
Croix du Sud red
AOP Côtes de Provence Cru Sainte-Victoire
Croix du Sud, in Cru Sainte-Victoire, plays on Grenache and Syrah. Very mineral and more structured, with silky tannins and great finesse. With its aromas of black fruits and spices, serve it with a rack of lamb or grilled meats.
