Since 2020, it has been officially certified Organic Agriculture (Ecocert), affirming its commitment to sustainable viticulture.

A Viticulture in Harmony with Nature

At Domaine Fouet, the vine follows the rhythm of nature. The team favors organic methods, eliminating chemical inputs in favor of natural treatments. A hallmark of the estate is eco-grazing: around fifteen sheep graze among the vines, reducing mechanical weeding and enhancing biodiversity. The estate has also launched agroforestry projects, planting apple trees within the vineyards to enrich local flora and fauna — a pioneering approach in the Loire Valley.

Julien Fouet’s philosophy is rooted in minimal intervention winemaking — no added sulfur and no artificial yeasts — to preserve the purity of the fruit and the authentic expression of the terroir. The estate’s red, white, and sparkling wines embody the distinctive identity of Saumur-Champigny and its limestone-rich soils. Red wines: Characterful cuvées such as L’Amarante, La Rouge & Noire, and Ébène, carefully crafted to reveal the finesse of Cabernet Franc. White wines: Le Clos de Midi and Ardillon, precise, mineral, and elegant. Sparkling wines: P.M.G Blanc and P.M.G Rosé, made using the ancestral method, offering fine, natural, and gourmet bubbles. Sulfite-free cuvées: An innovative, health-conscious, and environmentally respectful approach.
