A philosophy: respect for nature and the search for balance

Every action at Domaine de Revel is guided by a simple conviction: the vine can only offer the best of itself in a living and balanced environment. To preserve this balance, Mickael implements gentle cultural practices:

Natural grass cover to favour biodiversity.

Soil mulching with a Rolofaca and mechanical weeding, manual leaf-thinning.

Sowing of field beans to naturally enrich the soils.

Release of beneficial insects to regulate pests, and essential oils as a natural alternative to chemical treatments.

These respectful methods allow each vine to fully express the character of the Quercy terroir while favouring the surrounding fauna and flora.

A family adventure for three generations

It all begins with Rene, the grandfather, who planted the first vines on one hectare. His son Bernard continued the story in the 1980s and developed production, soon joined by Claudine, his wife, who paved the way for direct sales and local markets.

In 2010, Mickael took over and decided to devote himself entirely to the vine. He replants, experiments, and enlarged the estate to reach 34 different grape varieties: a true living laboratory dedicated to diversity and the future of wine.

A pioneer of resistant grapes and biodiversity

A true explorer of the plant world, Mickael Raynal made the bold choice to plant naturally disease-resistant grape varieties. A pioneering approach in the South-West of France.

These varieties, combined with traditional grapes and forgotten grapes, offer a unique aromatic mosaic. This diversity allows the estate to adapt its viticulture to climate change and to create living, sincere and expressive wines.

A varied and inspired production

Domaine de Revel produces a wide range of wines certified Organic Agriculture: reds, roses, whites, orange wines, sparkling wines and grape juice. Each cuvee expresses an emotion, a vision of wine as an art of the living.
