Domaine de Montbuisson: The Pure Expression of Languedoc
A traditional winemaking approach inspired by nature In the heart of the Côte de Thongue, near Pézenas, Domaine de Montbuisson stretches across 25 contiguous hectares, including twelve planted with vines—some nearly fifty years old. Here, the vineyard breathes the southern light and the diversity of the soils. Controlled yields, sustainable farming, preserved biodiversity and traditional winemaking give birth to sincere, expressive wines that respect their environment. Passionate about wine and the Languedoc terroir, we wanted the estate to be a living, authentic place where the land can express its full richness. Between Montpellier and Béziers, the site offers calm, varied landscapes and a true space for visitors to explore. Discovering the cellar and the estate’s 25 hectares reveals the patient work that shapes each cuvée.
A Singular Terroir
The vines grow on terraces of villafranchian pebbles, alternating with sandy and gravelly marl. These complex soils bring freshness, structure and depth to the wines.
A Rich and Precious Biodiversity
Local wildlife and plant life contribute to the vineyard’s natural balance. This preserved ecosystem ensures the grapes ripen harmoniously.
Sustainable and Reasoned Farming
Yield control, natural vine protection and soil preservation: every choice aims to protect the aromas and identity of the grape varieties.
Authentic Winemaking
Thoughtful harvests, traditional gestures and precise ageing allow the terroir’s personality to fully express itself, whether in varietal wines or blends.
Our Commitments
High Environmental Value (HVE) Certification We preserve biodiversity, use a thoughtful plant protection strategy, manage soils responsibly and use water efficiently. Organic Farming The estate is certified organic, to protect our land, limit environmental impact and guarantee sincere and healthy wines. Independent Winegrowers We grow our vines, vinify our wines in our own cellar, age them and market them ourselves: a true artisanal approach from grape to glass.
