A museum dedicated to olive oil

Inaugurated in 2019, the Olive Oil Museum of La Royère retraces the history of « yellow gold » in the Mediterranean. Through a fun and educational trail, discover the ancestral and modern methods of production. A symbol of Provençal culture, the olive oil produced on site is extra virgin, cold-extracted and from the first pressing: a pure fruit juice, natural and untransformed.

An organic production

Since 2017, La Royère has engaged in a conversion to organic farming, validated in 2020 by the Ecocert label. The vineyard now stretches over around forty hectares and favours:

Permanent natural grass cover between the vine rows.

Enhanced biodiversity across the whole estate.

Winemaking limiting inputs as close as possible to the fruit.

Mostly manual harvests around 60%.

This sustainable approach is found as much in the wines as in the olive oil and the by-products (liqueur wine, marc, fines, olive eau-de-vie, lavender honey).

Wines and terroirs of the Luberon

The vines of La Royère benefit from sandy and stony, perfectly drained soils. The deliberately low yields (30 hl/ha) ensure concentrated, elegant and balanced wines. The winemaking combines tradition and modernity with stainless steel, concrete and fibre tanks, complemented by barrel ageing for certain cuvées.

The grapes and appellations

The estate showcases the emblematic grapes of the Rhône Valley:

Syrah & Grenache at the heart of the reds and rosés.

Grenache blanc, Rolle, Roussanne & Viognier for the whites.

As well as a panel of around fifteen varieties, grown in AOP Luberon, IGP Méditerranée and Vaucluse.

The cuvées of La Royère

In short, here are the estate's main cuvées:

Les Oliviers Rouge (Merlot, Syrah)

Fruity and spicy, structured and pleasant.

Oppidum Rouge (Syrah, Grenache)

« G » Rouge (Cabernet-Sauvignon, Syrah)

Vieilles Vignes Rouge (Grenache, Syrah)

Powerful, oaky, morello cherry and leather.

Oppidum Rosé (Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault)

Freshness and balance.

Les Oliviers Rosé (Cabernet-Sauvignon)

Les Oliviers Blanc (Rolle, Grenache blanc)
