Domaine de la Plaigne: a family vineyard in the heart of the Beaujolais
Domaine de la Plaigne
A family estate in Regnie-Durette, in the Beaujolais, for five generations (1902). More than 15 hectares of Gamay and Chardonnay, on granite and clay-limestone soils. Certified HVE and organic since 2023.
Located in Regnie-Durette, a charming Beaujolais village known for its two-steeple church, Domaine de la Plaigne spans more than 15 hectares. This family estate perpetuates a winegrowing tradition passed down for five generations, combining respect for the terroir, artisanal savoir-faire and environmental commitment.
A story of family and passion
It all begins in 1902, when the great-grandfather of Gilles Roux acquires his first vines in Lantignie and Regnie-Durette. Since then, each generation has contributed to developing the estate. In 1988, the name Domaine de la Plaigne was officially registered. Gilles and Cecile Roux took over the reins in the 1990s, and since 2014 their son Victorien has joined the estate to carry high the colours of this fine family adventure.
