Based in Tavel, in the southern Rhône Valley, Domaine de la Mordorée has established itself over the past decades as one of the region’s leading references. Founded in 1986 by Francis and Christophe Delorme, the estate was built on a clear vision: producing wines of the highest quality, deeply rooted in their terroirs.

Since 2015, Madeleine and Ambre Delorme have continued this family adventure with the same level of commitment and exacting standards. Their ambition remains unchanged: to reveal the true expression of the Rhône’s great terroirs through precise, elegant and long-lasting wines, without ever taking shortcuts.

An exceptional vineyard at the heart of the Rhône’s finest appellations

Domaine de la Mordorée now farms 42 hectares of vineyards spread across eight villages, within some of the most prestigious appellations of the region:

• Tavel
• Châteauneuf-du-Pape
• Lirac
• Côtes du Rhône
• Condrieu

This mosaic of terroirs, made up of rolled pebbles, clay and limestone soils, enables the estate to craft wines that are powerful yet balanced, refined and true to the identity of each appellation.

Organic and biodynamic farming: a deep-rooted conviction

Respect for the living world lies at the very heart of Domaine de la Mordorée’s philosophy. Certified organic since 2013 and biodynamic (Demeter) since 2020, the estate follows a demanding form of viticulture that respects natural balances.

The vineyard practices are guided by a few fundamental principles:

• harvesting exclusively by hand,
• deliberately low yields to concentrate flavour and structure,
• no use of synthetic chemical products,
• constant attention to biodiversity and soil life.

This approach results in sincere, expressive wines, where each appellation retains its own distinct personality.
