Domaine de la Madrague: a vineyard with its feet in the Mediterranean

Domaine de la Madrague - Organic Côtes de Provence, by the sea at Gigaro (La Croix-Valmer)

Domaine de la Madrague is an organic Côtes de Provence estate, 20 hectares by the sea at Gigaro, where the Mediterranean shapes the style of the wines.

In La Croix-Valmer, a few metres from Gigaro beach, Domaine de la Madrague farms 20 hectares of seaside vines opening onto the bay of Saint-Tropez. Organic farming, luminous rosés and saline finishes: elegant Côtes de Provence, to discover direct on Avenue des Vins.

In La Croix-Valmer and Gassin, just a few metres from the legendary Gigaro beach, Domaine de la Madrague cultivates a unique positioning in Provence: a vineyard literally by the sea, opening onto the bay of Saint-Tropez.

Over 20 hectares of vines bathed in sunshine and refreshed by marine influences, the estate enjoys a rare natural setting, where the Mediterranean shapes the style of the wines as much as the soils.

Taken over in 2007 by Jean-Marie Zodo, the estate committed to organic farming from the outset, with a clear and demanding line: to produce sincere, precise wines deeply connected to their terroir.

A family story, a committed vision

Domaine de la Madrague is above all a family adventure. Each cuvee carries a first name, Claire, Charlotte, César, Charles or Gaspard, creating a thread between transmission, emotion and identity. Here, wine tells a story, that of a place and of those who bring it to life.

From the takeover of the vineyard, Jean-Marie Zodo invested in a modern, functional cellar, designed for precise work and respect for the grape. Without ever betraying the soul of the estate, this demand quickly positioned la Madrague among the references of Côtes de Provence.

A maritime terroir in the service of elegant wines

Between clay-limestone soils, a Mediterranean climate tempered by the nearby sea and strong light, the vines enjoy ideal conditions to express finesse and freshness.

The maritime influence brings a very identifiable signature: balanced, luminous wines carried by a natural tension and an often saline finish, typical of coastal terroirs.

Rosés emblematic of Provence

Fresh, delicate and expressive, the rosés of Domaine de la Madrague charm with their pale, bright colour. The nose reveals notes of crunchy red fruit, citrus and flowers, while the palate stays airy, precise and refreshing.

Rosés for gastronomy as much as for pleasure, perfectly suited to the Mediterranean art of living.

Refined, aromatic whites

The estate's white wines offer a fine liveliness, with aromas of white fruit, flowers and garrigue honey. The palate is elegant, balanced, always supported by a natural freshness brought by the nearby sea.

Confidential, structured reds

Rarer, the reds of Domaine de la Madrague deliver a deeper expression of the terroir. Ripe fruit, sweet spices and silky tannins make up characterful, harmonious wines built for the table.

As vintages and availability change, the selection shown on Avenue des Vins may vary; here are the estate's main wine families.
