Set on the heights of Le Puy-Notre-Dame, a village of character and winegrowing cradle of the Saumurois, Domaine de l'Enchantoir has cultivated a deep love for the vine and nature since the 19th century. Its 17 hectares, planted on soils of tuffeau, clay and limestone, give birth to delicate, complex and luminous wines, authentic reflections of the Loire Valley.

For several generations, the estate's winegrowers have shaped a living heritage. The property, whose historic courtyard is listed as a remarkable monument, houses a network of troglodyte cellars dug into the tuffeau, ideal for ageing and keeping the wines.

An organic and artisanal viticulture
Certified organic (Ecocert label) since 2016, the estate favours an approach respectful of life and the soil. The work is done by hand, pruning, harvesting, ageing: nothing is left to chance. Each cuvee is bottled at the estate, guaranteeing full traceability and an artisanal savoir-faire that showcases the emblematic grapes of the Saumurois: Chenin blanc and Chardonnay for the whites, Cabernet Franc for the reds.
The Saumur Puy-Notre-Dame appellation: the estate's signature
Since 2009, the estate has proudly produced the Saumur Puy-Notre-Dame AOC, an exceptional red wine made from 85% Cabernet Franc. This appellation, recognised since 2008, extends over fifteen villages of the Maine-et-Loire and the Vienne and follows demanding specifications: a ban on total weeding, double inspection of the vines and a minimum ageing of eight months before bottling. The reds stand out for their powerful, harmonious balance, their aromas of ripe red fruit and their elegant structure, perfect with meats in sauce, game or matured cheeses.
