Château Wiala – Fitou, free, wild and alive

An estate in the heart of Haut-Fitou. Between the mineral slopes of Mont Tauch and the distant ridges of Canigou, Château Wiala covers 10.4 hectares of certified organic vines. Here, the vines face the wind, enjoy intense sunlight, and draw their strength from schist, pebbles and garrigue soils. This raw landscape shapes powerful, sincere wines rooted in the Fitou spirit.

A family story and a committed estate

Founded in 2001 in Tuchan, Château Wiala is a small, artisanal domaine shaped by its founders and later the Busquet family. Their rigorous, authentic work established a respected vineyard.

Since 2025, Jérémy and Mélanie have taken over, determined to preserve the heritage, improve the estate and craft wines that express their land with depth and freedom.

Organic viticulture that respects life

Carignan Noir, Grenache Noir, Syrah, Grenache Gris and Muscat à petits grains are cultivated following organic agriculture. Around the vineyard, 9 hectares of wild garrigue create a vibrant ecosystem of thyme, rosemary and Mediterranean scents.

Every intervention is manual, balanced and precise. The goal is to craft southern wines with strength yet essential Fitou freshness.

In 2025, a new chapter begins. Jérémy and Mélanie continue the remarkable work of Cathy and Hubert Busquet with the same passion and quality requirements.

Supported by committed experts such as Damien Kalanquin (Synergie Lab) for oenology and Guillaume Sibieude (Autajon) for label design, they carry forward a modern, free and deeply human vision of Fitou.
