Château Sainte Roseline: A Classified Growth in the Heart of Provence
Just a few kilometers from Saint-Tropez, nestled in Les Arcs-sur-Argens, Château Sainte Roseline is one of the most prestigious wine estates in Provence. Classified as a “Cru Classé” AOP Côtes de Provence since 1955, the vineyard spans 110 hectares and benefits from clay-limestone soils nourished by an underground natural spring. An exceptional terroir that gives birth to elegant, balanced, and emotionally charged Provençal wines.
Historical and Spiritual Heritage
The estate has its roots in a unique site, listed as a historical monument. The Chapelle Sainte Roseline, built in the 11th century, and the 12th-century cloister bear witness to a rich religious and cultural past. Sainte Roseline, prioress of the nearby abbey in the 13th century, still rests there today. A place of miracles and pilgrimages, the chapel remains a spiritual symbol inseparable from the estate’s identity.
From the Teillaud Family to Aurélie Bertin-Teillaud
In 1994, the estate was taken over by Bernard Teillaud, who launched a complete renovation with architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte. Since 2007, his daughter Aurélie Bertin-Teillaud has continued the adventure, bringing the estate into a modern dynamic that combines sustainability with the promotion of contemporary art. Every summer, the Château hosts major art exhibitions, reinforcing its image as a place where wine and culture meet.
