Château Nodoz: A Historic and Welcoming Vineyard in the Heart of Côtes de Bourg

Located in Tauriac, within the Côtes de Bourg appellation, Château Nodoz embodies the accessible elegance of the Bordeaux vineyard. Since 2002, Sandrine and Jean-François Magdeleine-Cenac, former lawyers turned passionate winemakers, have taken over this family estate with the ambition to produce authentic wines that are both generous and easy to share. Rooted in history since before the French Revolution, the estate now spans 38 hectares across the communes of Tauriac, Lansac, and Bourg-sur-Gironde. The vines, cultivated according to sustainable farming principles, benefit from excellent exposure on gravelly hillsides oriented East/Southeast and Southwest, ensuring optimal sunlight.

A Family Heritage Rehabilitated with Passion

The "Cru de Nodoz" initially gained its reputation thanks to Mr. Bordes, a Bordeaux shipowner who developed it before the Magdeleine family took over management in 1930. In the 1980s, Jean-Louis and Josiane Magdeleine restored the vineyard left by their grandfather. Sandrine and Jean-François, the next generation, gave new momentum to the estate in the early 2000s, blending respect for traditions with a contemporary vision.

Wines for Every Occasion

The philosophy of Château Nodoz: sincere and expressive wines to be enjoyed both daily and during special moments. Their “Nodoz barriques neuves” cuvée, a refined aging wine, reveals a complex aromatic palette, while the “Galau” cuvée is more convivial, perfect to accompany meals with friends or family. New arrivals: Freshness and Elegance on the Menu To celebrate the warmer days, new cuvées have been introduced, showcasing the estate’s diverse expertise: La Rosée de Nodoz: This soft and generous rosé is made from the first pressed Merlot grapes. It charms with fruity aromas and refreshing zest — an ideal companion for aperitifs or summer salads. Le Blanc du Château Nodoz 2024: Made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, this vintage reveals lively acidity and exotic notes. Light and zesty, it pairs wonderfully with seafood and iodine-rich dishes. Le Blanc Prestige 2023: A subtle blend of Sauvignon Blanc with a touch of Muscadelle, this white wine aged in 400-liter barrels unveils an elegant woody structure. It features toasted and buttery notes, perfect for enhancing pan-seared scallops or salt-crusted sea bass.

A Recognized Eco-Responsible Approach

Certified High Environmental Value (HVE), Château Nodoz affirms its sustainable commitment by prioritizing biodiversity, careful input management, and a respectful approach to the terroir.
